Today, Tatweer Misr was awarded the highly coveted Cityscape Global Awards for Emerging Markets in the Low Rise — Future category, at the 2016 ceremony, for its flagship project IL Monte Galala – Sokhna. The finalists were chosen by a panel of industry experts and regional professionals and, in the category of Residential Low Rise – Future projects, Tatweer Misr was competing against the two shortlisted projects “ID residences” from Brazil and “Fumba Town Development”, Tanzania. Notable is that Tatweer Misr represents the only Egyptian Real Estate Developer shortlisted in all 13 categories of this prestigious global award.
The award was presented to Dr. Ahmed Shalaby, Tatweer Misr Managing Director and Board Member at the Cityscape Awards Ceremony, held at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai, with more than 500 people attending the event. Commenting on the award Dr. Shalaby said “We are extremely proud to be recognized for the pioneering work we are currently undertaking in our flagship project IL Monte Galala in Sokhna, Egypt. Notable is that the 2016 Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets honors projects exhibiting excellence in architecture and design, across 13 categories of real estate projects, from the emerging regions of the Gulf States, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia. The shortlisted finalists are judged by some of the most respected and experienced names in the real estate industry. A nomination is a recognition of Architects, Developers and their projects that have shown outstanding designs, performance, vision and achievement in key areas of architecture.
